We all like flowers for all their positive qualities. They spread fragrance and provide always a pleasant sight. The only drawback one can easily overlook for these qualities is that flowers fade fast. Perhaps, we can also add that they are not available at all occasions.
Flowers can contribute only as long as they survey. But, then that is the case with humans too. Both humans and plants can leave some legacy; good or bad to the next generation.
It was these negative qualities of fresh flowers that had led to the invention of the craft of manufacturing artificial flowers in the beginning of eighteenth century. It was the French who learnt first the art of manufacturing flowers from the Italians and spread it in Europe. The English got it from some French expatriates. And ,by the end of the eighteenth century, the craft landed in America.
Lately, the artificial flowers (also known as decoration flowers) industry, has strengthened significantly. The industry gained some sophistication in production, and as a result, products have archived refinement. People now have a vast choice between fresh flowers and artificial flowers for their various needs. Under the artificial category, silk flowers are popular.
Although, people use artificial flowers in more occasion than earlier, their admiration for fresh powers remain intact. And, they can not completely do away with natural flowers for various purposes like wedding ceremonies, wedding parties, decoration , bouquets, garlands etc.
